In a stunning display of leadership and pointing, The Block’s resident foreman Dan the foreman Reilly has once again earned national praise for spending another season walking around with a clipboard and saying things like, “Yeah, that’s not gonna pass.”
Viewers describe Dan as “the hardest working man never to lift anything heavier than a coffee.” Sources say his main responsibilities include sighing, inspecting unfinished bathrooms, and occasionally reminding contestants that “the schedule’s tight” — as if they weren’t already crying.
On-site tradies confirm that Dan’s most-used tools are his eyebrows, his clipboard, and the word “mate.”
When asked about his work ethic, Dan replied, “I’m all about leading by example — and by example, I mean standing near someone doing work while nodding.”
Producers have called him “the glue that holds The Block together,” though others argue he’s more like the duct tape — visible, loud, and mostly decorative.
Next season, Channel 9 has reportedly given Dan his own spinoff show titled “Foreman’s Orders,” where he’ll inspect random suburban fences and tell homeowners they’re “two weeks behind.”
