Illustrated satirical movie poster titled The Alto Blights. Two identical mobsters in vintage suits and fedoras stand back-to-back, one holding a gun, the other a cannoli. The poster features bold red and gold lettering and fake critic quotes like “Sleepy Goodfellas” and “A Crime Against Cinema.”
A cinematic masterpiece of confusion — two mobsters, one cannoli, and absolutely no reason for any of it.

Mocktopus Review — The Alto Knights: Sleepy Gangsters, Double De Niro, Half the Talent

Derek here — and The Alto Knights might be the first mob movie where the only thing getting whacked is the audience’s attention span.

Robert De Niro plays two mobsters, which sounds cool until you realize it’s just the same performance twice, but with different hats. It’s like watching your dad argue with himself over pasta.

The plot wanders like it’s been hit with a blackjack, the dialogue feels AI-generated, and the pacing makes The Irishman look like Mad Max. Every scene screams “Oscar bait,” but smells more like expired cannoli.

Budget: $50 million. Box office: $9 million.
Result: a cinematic crime scene.

Final verdict — 1 out of 10 meatballs.
Even the mob would’ve buried this movie out of mercy.

🦑 Mocktopus — because not even De Niro can whack boredom
